Vivienne is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Texas Woman’s University. She completed her Ph.D. in international relations and comparative politics at University of Pennsylvania in 2019, where she received support from the Browne Center for International Politics and the Perry World House.

As a researcher, Vivienne is interested in international and comparative political economy, globalization, immigration and labor mobility, and corporate political activity. Her current research focuses on the international mobility of human capital. Vivienne’s dissertation, completed in 2019, explores how and why strategies of skill selection emerge in different countries’ immigration policies and diffuse across states.

Vivienne teaches courses in both international relations and comparative politics. 

Vivienne grew up in Denver, Colorado and received a BA in Economics and International Affairs from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She likes recipes with less than five ingredients and enjoys a good game of no-rules tennis.
